urgundy on a Plate invites you to join its 2008 Christmas tour based in the 17th C. 3* Hotel des Remparts situated in the historic town of Beaune.
This delightful private hotel was renovated by the owners Claude and Elyane Epailly who succeeded in preserving the charm of this historic building happily incorporating all modern comforts, where you will feel completely at home.
This tour is based on a maximum of 8 .
Day 1. – Monday 22 nd December Afternoon transfer to hotel from Beaune or Dijon stations
Introduction to wine tasting and the Burgundy wine region
Pre-dinner aperitif Kir Royale with warm Gougeres
Welcome first night dinner in an excellent local restaurant in Beaune
Day 2 – Tuesday 23 rd December Wine & Truffles !
Morning truffle hunt in Côte de Nuits, followed by tasting of wines & truffle delicacies in the local château..
Three course lunch in Nuits St Georges Cellar visits and tastings with visit to the site of the Romanee Conti vineyards
Day 3 - Wednesday 24 th December
Visit to the 14C. Hospice de Beaune Visit Beaune market
Tasting lunch in Puligny Montrachet
Christmas Eve celebrations
Day 4 - Thursday 25 th December
Post breakfast Christmas Morning Walk (optional ! ) before our festive late, leisurely Christmas Day lunch in hotel
Day 5 – Friday 26 th December Free day with optional excursion to Flavigny ‘Chocolat’ village or Dijon*
Last night gastronomic farewell dinner
Day 6 – Saturday 27 th December After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to
Dijon Station for departure.
